What is Kleresca®?

Kleresca® is a breakthrough BioPhotonic (light conversion) treatment that significantly improves acne. The treatment offers high efficacy and safety with limited to no down time.* You will be guided by our specialist dermatologists- the ONLY specialists in skin.

Kleresca® harnesses the power of BioPhotonics to safely treat your acne and stimulate the tissue’s own repair systems. The treatment uses a high intensity in-clinic lamp together with a photoconverter gel to kill bacteria in the skin and initiate healing.*

Treatment is twice a week for six weeks or double treatments once weekly for 6 short weeks. It only takes 15-20 minutes of your time and can be done on any given clinic day.
Our specialist dermatology nurses will apply a topical gel that is illuminated under a multi-wavelength LED light for nine minutes. You may feel a warm sensation on your skin, and most people find the treatment pleasant and comfortable. After nine minutes under the light, the gel is removed. Your complexion may experience redness after the treatment.

The gel allows the spectrum of wavelengths to penetrate into the skin to kill bacteria and stimulate your skin’s own repair systems. This treats your acne and encourages the build-up of collagen, which helps treat acne scarring as well as the active acne.*

Who is it for?

Kleresca® is an efficient treatment for all kinds of acne vulgaris, even severe cases. To start the treatment, you should schedule a consultation with one of our dermatologists. They will determine whether Kleresca® is the right treatment for you.

When can you expect to see results?

You should see noticeable improvements to your skin as the deeper layers respond and skin repairing occurs during the six-week treatment course.

For at least six weeks after your treatment, you can expect to see additional improvements to your complexion. Results have been seen to have a long-lasting effect for at least six months.*

Safety information

The Kleresca® treatment takes place on your skin and is not absorbed or taken into the body, making it a well-tolerated treatment option for acne.

In clinical trials, Kleresca® showed high safety with no serious adverse events, and the treatment itself was considered to be a pleasant and comfortable experience.*

The science

In clinical trials, Kleresca® showed high efficacy on people with moderate to severe acne. Nine out of 10 people saw an improvement to their skin*, whereas every third person achieved clear or almost clear skin. In conjunction with low- dose isotretinoin success rates are even higher.

In an extended clinical trial, 92% of the people who had previously achieved an improvement of two grades or more on the Investigators’ Global Assessment (IGA) scale for acne severity went on to maintain this improvement. None of the people treated returned to their original acne severity. Improvements were maintained for at least six months.

*Nine out of 10 persons saw an improvement of at least 1 IGA grade or more
