What to Expect Before, During, & After Treatment

Dr Ritu will examine the appearance of your skin to determine the appropriate treatment, and discuss whether additional treatments should be part of your facial rejuvenation. Based on the examination and your goals, she will determine exactly how to proceed. She will map out the treatment sites to ensure that your treatment yields the best possible results.
To prepare your skin for treatment, an antibacterial agent is applied to the area to be treated. This cleans your skin and guards against infection.
At the end of your treatment, our team will clean away any guiding marks on your face. That’s it. Some treatment results are instant, and you can return to work or play right away.
Possible Risks and Complications
Cold sores can be triggered by treatment, so we ask patients at Platinum Dermatology whether or not they’re prone to cold sores during their consultation so we can prescribe medications to minimise this risk. Another common risk is infection at the treatment site, but that risk can be removed by carefully following post-treatment advice.
Other health problems related treatments are rare, although some treatments can trigger allergic reactions including redness, itching, and swelling.
